Fostering Community Information Sessions
Fostering Communities Information Sessions are designed to help individuals and families learn about becoming verified foster parents or approved adoptive parents. Offered twice each month virtually and quarterly in person, these free sessions provide an overview of the foster care and adoption process, introduce local Child Placement Agencies (CPAs), and explain their licensing requirements. Participants also have the opportunity to connect directly with CPA representatives, ask questions, and determine which agency is the best fit for their family’s journey.
Child Placement Agencies
A Child Placement Agency (CPA) is a licensed organization that helps connect children in foster care with safe, loving, and permanent families. CPAs guide prospective adoptive parents through every step of the adoption process, including training, home studies, matching, and ongoing support. They work closely with the child, family, and community partners to help ensure each child has the best opportunity to find a forever home.

Understanding Child Placement Agencies
The Role of Child Placement Agencies in Adoption
A Child Placement Agency is a licensed organization dedicated to facilitating the adoption process. These agencies work closely with prospective adoptive parents and children in need of permanent homes, ensuring that each match is made with the utmost care and consideration. They provide essential services such as home studies, counseling, and post-adoption support, guiding families through every step of the adoption journey. By partnering with state and local authorities, Child Placement Agencies help streamline the adoption process, making it more accessible and efficient for all parties involved.
